Really, Really Free Market Jacksonville August 2026 35mm Film Photos
Share
Here are photos captured by me at the Really, Really Free Market on August 1, 2026. These were shot on a Cannon Rebel II with Fujifilm 400. My husband and I stayed the entire event, so you can see shots from before and after the rain that came through. We brought a tent, so we just lowered it as the storm rolled through and hung out with some other folks. These photos are in time sequential order.

Just like my Polaroid scans, I don't mess too much with editing. Aside from my scan settings and a few photos with minor exposure tweaks, these photos haven't been adjusted for saturation, angle/cropping, etc. I love the challenge of mostly one shot (a few I took two, just in case), composing properly in camera, and living with whatever color results I get. If I over think it, it loses the fun (which is part of why I shoot on film, my focus is on getting the shot, everything else is reflection). I had the negatives developed at The Fototecknika Group and scanned them myself to save some money. I am pretty pleased with the results and will be using this camera more frequently in the future. The photo with me was captured by my husband.
