Capturing the Moment
There is something about the rawness of Polaroid that captivates me. We live in an age that pushes for a digital life, yet when I pull out my camera people are excited. When I snap the photo and the click and whir alerts the subject that an image has been captured, the anticipation begins building. After a few minutes of patience we reach the climax, where we can see if the framing is suitable and generally assess the exposure. It doesn't have to be perfectly curated and it hasn't been touched by A'I.' It's that enduring breath of a moment already shared and passed. The physical artifact coupled with the limitations of the medium are a fun challenge and I will continue experimenting, learning, and growing.
