For the Love of Fun

Polaroid photography has truly given me the best of both worlds...an analog experience without the wait of developing and scanning to see the final image. It fits perfectly into my style and workflow, and has opened up more artistic pleasures than ever before.

Blending with Fashion

I have been obsessed with vintage clothing and textiles for an incredibly long time. Polaroid has the perfect nostalgic vibe, it isn't a fleeting trend but an artifact to love and cherish. I truly believe that our photos nor our clothes should be so flippantly ephemeral.

Community Service

Photographing causes and community based events I support is one way I celebrate humanity. I also work with select artists, free of charge, to teach textile arts skills or help boost their modeling portfolios. Building community and uplifting others has always been an important part of my creative practice.

Capturing the Moment

There is something about the rawness of Polaroid that captivates me. We live in an age that pushes for a digital life, yet when I pull out my camera people are excited. When I snap the photo and the click and whir alerts the subject that an image has been captured, the anticipation begins building. After a few minutes of patience we reach the climax, where we can see if the framing is suitable and generally assess the exposure. It doesn't have to be perfectly curated and it hasn't been touched by A'I.' It's that enduring breath of a moment already shared and passed. The physical artifact coupled with the limitations of the medium are a fun challenge and I will continue experimenting, learning, and growing.

I have been collecting stickers ever since I was a little. I enjoy using stickers from the 1980s through modern era in my work and am always on the hunt for unique pieces to add to my stash. I also have the skills to design, print, and cut my own high quality stickers. If you would like your own stickered creations, just ask!

Painting Polaroids

I use acrylic paints and paint pens on Polaroids to elevate my original photos into something truly unique. Sometimes I use paints to accentuate images and create my own custom frames.
