Lena on Pokemon Polaroid Film
Share

I met Lena at the Downtown Jacksonville Art Walk in September and invited her to come shoot in my home studio. When we met, she had the cutest Pikachu earrings on. I typically do my Polaroid shoots at home with continuous studio lighting, but I decided to add Mint Flashbar 2 into the mix. Even though I increased exposure time, I found the background was still a bit dark. From my understanding, when a flash is put into a SX-70, it changes the way the exposure system works. I also find the flash ends up only being good for a certain range. So I believe Lea did an awesome job, but I am going to light the backdrop more next time, rather than the general scene. It's definitely an ongoing process learning Polaroid, but I hope sharing can help others.

I also did a couple shots on my Polaroid Go Generation 3 camera. Polaroid has definitely improved the Go cameras, although I still wish there were basic exposure controls! I have faith in the format though. These Pikachu photos with Lena turned out so cute!
