Random Photos From the Early 2020s
Share
I have been realizing I don't really have any photos of my NYC street vending days, so I figured I would share.

Here is a small set up of stuff in early 2021, I believe. Crazy to see all of that stuff is now sold off to people. Below is a closer shot of the most insane pair of jeans on the wall.

This pair of jeans were created in April of 2020. Made from a random 70s bell bottoms brand, I spent way too much time on them and sold them for a steal to somebody in the Jacksonville area at a Neon Moon event. Depop actually featured these on their official Instagram (it has since been archived) and they had over 10k likes on my Depop store. Each of these patches, instead of my classic raw , was pressed and had clean edges. I even hand tied every patch instead of backstitching. These jeans were my lesson to never, ever sell something this complex again without getting money upfront or keeping them for myself.

I made these in I believe March of 2021 while briefly living in Jersey City. Levi's 501 with all over patches. Lots of colorful details, I photographed these in Brooklyn. They actually ended up selling on Depop to somebody in Miami, before I took a break from the app and came back to see AI had ruined it.

Oh man, this pair was a beauty! I created these while staying in Jacksonville in 2021 or 2022 and sold these to a very nice young lady while street vending in Soho. They were a pair of original 70s Levi's and were just so delightful! Her mom came back some months later and snagged her own pair. Street vending introduced me to some seriously cool people who were not afraid to be adventurous with their style.

This pair was very experimental. Early 80s pale lemon yellow Levi's that had been dyed, and patched. I sold these to a very nice lady from Colorado while she was on vacation in NYC. I think these sold in 2023? Either way, it was when I was occasionally setting up on Broadway, near the end of my vending era.

I also really got into hand painting and stenciling t-shirts. Above is one in purple, and here is one in yellow:

I even had the chance to meet Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse in Central Park, NYC. He offered to buy the tee, but I was like, uh, let's swap! I got to see Modest Mouse front row that night, it was epic! Thanks to the lady to who sent me this photo of her meeting him in Scotland. Sorry I don't have your info to credit you! There was also video of him wearing it on stage that night, but it's since been pulled from Youtube, ugh. I'll eventually find the close up photo and post that.
There are more photos floating around on a harddrive that I will post in the future. It includes more street vending photos, along with some customers wearing jeans. I don't have any photos before this era because a former person in my life deleted everything else. That's why my website can look a bit sparse as of the publishing date of this blog. I am slowly documenting more, and trying my best to show I have been creating art for basically my entire life. But I have been rebuilding heavily the past two years and will eventually get some semblance of a portfolio together. Until then, thanks for viewing and your support!
PS: if any former clients manage to find me, please reach back out and show me some adventures in the clothes I have created, it would make my day!
