Lea and Nhari on Color Frames

One of the upsides to fully upgrading my SX-70 is that I can effortlessly shoot with i-Type Polaroid film. I love the juicy jewel tones of the Color Frames and set a project into motion. My friend Bella and I painted the backdrop over two sessions onto photo backdrop paper. These behind the scenes photos were captured on my Polaroid 660AF, which also has been upgraded to take i-Type film!

I then invited Nhari and Lea over to play and have a ladies' day. All clothing and socks pictured are true vintage from my personal collection, jewelry and shoes are models' own. Finally, I decorated the frames with POSCA paint pens. This entire project took about a month and I am so happy to share it with you! I shot a total of 16 frames, and am presenting 15 of them here today in time sequential order. This is the beauty of a restored and upgraded vintage SX-70 camera. I used my own home studio lighting set up and no flash. I didn't pull out my tripod since I want more practice composing photos while holding the camera. These photos look excellent, and I want to give the biggest shout-outs to Bella, Nhari, and Lea for making this happen!
