Jacksonville Art Walk March 2026

The Downtown Jacksonville Art Walk was held on March 4, 2026. Daylight savings hadn't ended yet, and Polaroid photos are notorious for needing a lot of light. I still wanted to come out, and shot from golden into blue hour. I brought my recently upgraded vintage Polaroid 660AF. My exposure slider started in the middle and worked it's way up to the longest exposure. Event photography is one of my favorite styles of shooting. I don't always know why I am drawn to specific people but I try to give them their moment in the spotlight. My eye looks for diverse characters from the obvious and flamboyant to those that may be overlooked. I wish I had the film and physical energy to shoot every single person, but these 20 shots encapsulate the diversity of Art Walk with a good mix of artists and performers, spectators, and folks working the event. I shot three packs total with 1 photo going to barter, 2 photos gifted, and 1 reshot due to the wrong exposure.
