Polaroid Reclaimed Purple Portraits
Share
I recently got my hands on some boxes of the Polaroid Reclaimed Purple 600 film. This experimental film was a bit of a challenge to work with, and I personally found my best results in my home studio with continuous lighting. These are photos from three different sessions and will eventually be turned into a zine.

The first two photos of Bella feature her wearing an antique cotton tank top and 90s/y2K Express micro mini skort. In the second two photos, she is wearing an 1980s HELP t-shirt and 2010s micro mesh leggings. In the third set, she is wearing a hand painted (by me) 1980s corduroy blazer with 80s necklace and 80s bodystocking.

Lea is wearing her own top in her first photo. In the second, she is wearing a hand painted (by me) vintage Lilly Pulitzer t-shirt. In the third and fourth, she is wearing a 1980s Mary Quant bodysuit.

Nhari is wearing a vintage 70s crop top, sewn by me with vintage Alexander Henry fabric in the first four photos. This top just suited her so perfectly! The second set of photos has Nhari wearing a vintage hand dyed Express t-shirt (by me, ofc!) with my 'Psychedelic Eye' design screenprinted on the front.
The last photos you see (of Nhari) appear a bit brighter than the others, but it wasn't the scanning. I had the first two sets develop in a cooler area than the last set. So, if I had to start all over, I would have allowed everything to develop warmer as it made the 'white' of the purple a bit brighter!
